Founded
in 1995, Nationale d'Assurances et de Réassurances (NASR SA). resulted in the transformation of SMAR, the first insurance company established in Mauritania. It covers all types of insurances including motor, marine, fire, special risks at work, travel assistances, fishing or health in Mauritania.
The company, leaded by Ahmed Sidi Baba, has a staff of qualified employees in the insurance and reinsurance fields. Their know-how allow NASR to develop relationships with the largest world reinsurance companies due to the reliability of services and the speed of its payments.
“NASR has managed to stay in the loop. Despite the arrival of new insurance companies, the technical results of NASR are exceptional” says Ahmed Sidi Baba, general director of NASR. He insists that the constant disposal to offer good products and gaining the citizenship and clients confidence has been always a priority to the company. “NASR was the first company in having an ISO certificate in the sector. Our competitive edge lays in the long experience of our company. We know what we do and that is what makes the difference”, says the general director.
Baba believes Mauritania enjoys now a growing economy with new infrastructure projects ready to welcome new comers in a reliable market full of opportunities. “The recent discovery of gas offers a new world of opportunities and also demands skilled professionals to face our new challenges”, affirms NASR director.
