Profile
The Ministry of of Education, Scientific Research and Technologies of Information and Communication is aimed at facilitating the access to education to all citizens of Mauritania. “We are working on enhancing the education system for our youth and future”.
The minister is currently working in developing strategies and programs for Higher Education and scientific research sector which are submitted to the Government for approval. The final aim is to consolidate the education system and adapt it to international standards seeking for foreign universities accreditation.
The improvement of our professional higher education system tries to adapt to the needs of the country, especially after the gas discovery, but also to other important sectors as mining. “This discovery needs qualified staff and professionals and is our labor to prepare our citizens with the skills required for it”.
Among the Ministry’s duties are also the development of a national policy for scientific research as well as setting the conditions to access easily to public and private higher education establishments.
